All of our tours are subject to cancellation or rescheduling due to unsafe weather conditions.
Please note that we are paddling all of our guided tours in double kayaks only.
All children must be accompanied by they parents.
T-shirt, shorts, towel, sunglasses, sunscreen, hat.
Bring extra clothing if you are planning to take a swim at the beach.
Do not forget your bottle of water, small snack and your wide angle lenses.
Bring an extra light jacket, along with long sleeve t-shirt.
We still paddle on light rainy days, bring your rain jacket.
Wool, wool and extra wool.
It is crusial to dress up according to the arctic winter temperatures. Please choose a good amount of wool layers together with an extra warm gloves, beanie, wool socks and scarf.

We will provide you with a drysuit that will protect you from the cold wind and getting wet, however it won't keep you warm, therefore it is important to put good warm layers on before pulling drysuit over.

We meet our paddlers by Heimbrygga restaurant (orange building) approx. 50m from Skrova ferry harbour. You will see our Skrova Kayak flag.
If you are over 190cm (6,2ft) and 100kg (220lbs) please contact us before you book your adventure.
We are always monitoring the weather conditions closely over the days and in the case of a strong winds we will contact you to reschedule or fully refund your tour.
However our tour will proceed during light rainy or cloudy days, if sea conditions are safe. We had many nice wildlife encounters over rainy days on our guided tours.
Svolvær-Skrova-Skutvik ferry is free to all passengers. You do not need to worry about any tickets and just walk on. However you have to remember to walk off the ferry on its first stop on -Skrova island - since the ferry will follow to Skutvik across the Vestfjord to the mainland. The captain always announce Skrova island upon arrival so you have good time to walk on land.
Vehicles - We would recommend leaving your car in Svolvær at the ferry dock (parking is free) since parking on the island is limited.
Cancellation between 48 and 24 hours prior your activity date you are entitle to a 50% refund. Cancelation 24 hours or later to the agreed activity date no refund will be possible.
We have a minimum of 2 paddlers & maximum of 10 paddlers on our guided tours.
If you like to arrange a private tour for bigger groups please contact us on info@skrova-kayak.com . Our capacity is up to max. 20 paddlers.
Our paddling pace depends on the group, but we genrally take a relaxed approach. We are prioritising the adventure rather than rushing to the destination. We aim to create a comfortable and inclusive experience for all.
Please note that we rent out our kayaks only to experienced kayakers with certified rescue skills ACA,BCU,NPF(VÅTTKORT), or other recognised Kayak Association.
If you are not a holder of such a certification, you are encouraged to join our guided tours where instruction to kayaking will be given.
